TESTIMONIAL for STORM Lacrosse from Devoe Reagan - father, coach, administrator and leader of girls lacrosse in the greater Richmond area:
To those of you who are considering various options for improving your lacrosse skills over the sum...mer and fall, I would like to recommend that you consider the Storm program run by Sue Murphy and New World Sports.
My own girls both played for Storm this summer and fall. They loved the practices, their coaches and their fellow teammates. As a coach, I can think of no better program in the Richmond area than Storm. The quality of the coaching is exceptional, with real college coaches leading several of the HS age teams. The quality of the players on the teams is second to none. On my own daughters’ team there were girls from Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville as well as the Richmond area. The teams are selected by skill and age levels, and the best truly play with the best.
I attend many of the practices along with fellow Midlothian Coach Henneberry. We enjoy watching and learning from the college coaches on the staff. And those same college coaches have made a point of opening their college practices to us. The Storm family is clearly committed to making our girls better players and helping us become better teams.

Sue has a tremendous ability to reach each and every player because she understands the needs of the individual. Her intensity on the field and knowledge of the game helps to develop the players to their fullest ability. Sue can challenge players of all levels to peak and bring a team together. She is fully committed to the development of all players and has a true passion for the game. - Michele DeJulius, USA Team Current Asst. Coach, 2009 Captain of USA World Cup Team, Gold USA Team Member from 1995-2009, Princeton University Assistant Coach from 2004-Present, Penn State University 3 x All American and all time leading goal scorer
Coach Murphy encompasses everything the word ‘coach’ stands for. With her decorated resume, she obviously has an incredible understanding of the game. What makes Coach so different is she understands that players all learn differently, so as she breaks down big concepts and she caters her teaching to ensure every player is on the same page. Implementing this into practice and drills, her teams not only become skilled but disciplined. Of course being a coach goes beyond lacrosse, and Coach was committed to developing her players on and off the field. She knows how to push her players physically and mentally all while instilling the importance of confidence, commitment, optimism and friendship. After the four years playing for coach, the lessons I left with continue to benefit me not only in the ‘real world’ but as a person as well. - Mandy Friend
